Flyhov

When I visited Flyhov the carvings were in a bad need of a restoration. There were moss and lichen growing on and around the carvings, there were cracks in the stone, and some of the pictures were not filled in.... or they were painted a long time ago, with the paint on its way to vanish. Unfortunately the limestone is softer than the granite, on which most rock carvings along the west coast of Sweden is carved onto....

Hmm.... isn't that a footballer, that is just about to head a ball ? Or would you brand me as a genuine sports fan, rather than a well-informed historian ? Never mind....
