Hrólfr raised this stone in memory of his sons Sveinn/Steinn and Þorsteinn and in memory of Sámr, a good valiant man; Œpir in memory of his father.

This stone is still standing by the road. A place for passers-by in the old days to take a short break, read about who the dead person was and who had raised the stone, and then carry on....
