Hmmm - that's a very long text. When I took a closer look at my photos, I saw that the bottom part of the serpent and the runic inscription was almost invisible, due to lichen and moss. Point at the photo to see it from a slightly different angle, and with enhenced red colour.

This is still very vague, but there it is : the serpent, with the tip of its nose pointing upwards.
