Ásmundr and Freybjôrn had the rune-decorated landmark made in memory of Herbjôrn, their father.
You can't see it on this photo, but the rain was pouring down when I was there. I waited for a while in the car, hoping that it would stop raining. It didn't, so I had to pull myself together, run out and take a few quick shots of it. Point at the photo to see close-ups.
