This is the megalith monument that has impressed me most ( along with the stone rows in Carnac.... ). It is huge, but still big parts of it has been destroyed, and that rather recently too...... in the 18th century.

First there's a trench, then a big stone circle, and inside this circle there are / were two smaller circles made of very big standing stones. There were two ceremonial roads leading to Avebury, with smaller standing stones along it....

Then I turned myself around and took a photo of Silbury Hill......
