Sail-stretcher ?
This was found among all the things in the Oseberg ship. I couldn't see any note that explained what it is, but I think that it was used to stretch the sails on the Viking ships. Look at the ship on the Tängelgårda picture stone on Gotland !
In the showcase at the museum it is hanging
the other way around. I turned it upside-down to give you a better idea
of how it was used....
