Stonehenge

I won't even try to describe this fantastic ancient monument. Thousands of books have been written about it, and if you do a Google-search or read about it on Wikipedia you'll get more information than you can digest.
It's on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. More than 900.000 people come to visit Stonehenge every year, and due to the heavy wear you're not allowed to walk among the stones, but to watch it from a distance. Apart from the stone circle there are many other monuments nearby (- zoom it all in from Google Earth) that were built in connection to Stonehenge : many mounds, the cursus, a woodhenge, etc....
