Runhellhovet

Rock-slab be as witness!

N 155
This was a nice surprise. Due to the corona-virus we spent our holiday in Norway instead of going abroad. During a day of trecking north of Tuddal I saw this signpost that awoke my curiosity. "Is there a runic inscription somewhere up here, in the middle of nowhere?". I consulted the cellphone, googled Runhellhovet, and there it was! According to the map it was standing less than 1 km away, so suddenly I felt very eager. It must be a shortcut between the valleys, that have been used for a thousand years, or even longer. Point at the photos to see the surroundings + a close-up of the stone, with runes and carvings of later dates.
