Interpret the runes! Tólir the steward of Roðr had them rightly carved for the King. Tólir and Gylla had [the runes] carved ... this married couple as a landmark in memory of themselves(?) ... Hákon ordered (it) be carved.
A beautiful rune stone which is a bit damaged on the right part of the surface. You'll find it behind one of the burial mounds close to Adelsö church.
Here's a view from one of the mounds over to Adelsö church. This area is together with Birka, which is situated some three kilometers to the south, on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
