Kilmartin

In Kilmartin, in western Scotland, there are some very interesting ancient monuments within walking distance from each other. Nether Largie are three Stone Age graves in cairns, and they are placed in a straight line. Just north of them is a Bronze Age cairn, that continues the row..... Then there are the standing stones and Templewood stone circles. And on the churchyard there are a collection of sculptured stones - they are of much later date ; medieval, but too extraordinary not to mention....
