Kivik

This is a BronzeAge cairn and when they restored it early in the 20th century they changed its features a lot. It should have been higher and not quite as wide, and no entrance of course - it's there only to make it accessible for visitors....
These carvings on the slabs of the cist are unique ! They are all carved on the sides that are inwards the grave - something for the dead person to watch ?
And the motives....well.... I'm not sure if I dare to say anything at all - look for yourselves.... I'm very curious about the slender figures on the stone with the cart.... Are they women ? And the others are men ? And a ceremony with horns and a cauldron.... makes me think of the Gundestrup cauldron and the Danish gold horns.
