I was looking so much forward to see this one, but it was quite a disappointment. From the kml-file that I had prepared in advance, I saw that the rune stone contained quite a long text, and hopefully it would be intact. The stone itself is in a pretty good shape, but the runes are almost invisible. You can see some of them along the left side of the stone. |
The rune stone is standing in the middle of a feild, and I had to walk half a kilometer from where I had parked the car. I don't think that this rune stone will ever be cleaned and painted, since it would all be in vain - if people want to see rune stones, they have hundreds of other ones that are easier to access.
